Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued instructions to all banks and financial institutions to ensure the payment of employees' salaries and allowances for this month by March 23.

In addition, the central bank has directed that retirement allowances for pensioners be cleared by the same date. 

Two circulars have been issued by BB to enforce these directives.

Eid-ul-Fitr is anticipated to be celebrated across Bangladesh on March 31, depending on the moon sighting.
