A Dhaka court has granted a five-day remand for Sumaiya Zafrin, the wife of Major Sadik, who is accused in a case over guerrilla training of banned Awami League activists.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sefat Ullah issued the remand order on Thursday (August 7).
Earlier, a case was filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Vatara Police Station.
On the day, police produced her before the court seeking a seven-day remand for interrogation.
Defence lawyers, however, filed petitions seeking her bail and cancellation of the remand prayer. After hearing both sides, the court granted a five-day remand.
