The interim government is set to publish the 'July Declaration' to formally recognise the mass uprising of students and citizens during July–August 2024, according to Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.
In a Facebook status posted on Saturday (August 2), he wrote that the interim government has finalised the draft of the July Declaration.
He said, “The July Declaration will be presented before the nation at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the presence of all parties involved in the popular uprising. A detailed announcement will be made shortly.”
Sources at the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said the declaration has been prepared with broad consensus and will be officially announced in the presence of the public.
