The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across the country in the next 24 hours, starting from 9am today (July 30).
According to the met office bulletin issued this morning, most places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions are likely to experience showers, while many areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may also receive rain. Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.
The day and night temperatures across the country are likely to remain nearly unchanged, the bulletin added.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Narsingdi, while the lowest temperature today was 23.4 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:43 pm today and rise at 5:27 am tomorrow.
