The Bangladesh government has strongly condemned and expressed deep concern over Israel’s renewed military aggression in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Wednesday (March 19) denouncing the attack.
The statement said Bangladesh strongly condemns the Israeli military aggression in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians, particularly women and children, and worsened the humanitarian crisis in the already vulnerable region. It described the new wave of violence as a clear violation of international human rights laws and a blatant disregard for established ceasefire agreements.
Bangladesh also strongly condemned the indiscriminate airstrikes by Israeli forces in densely populated civilian areas of Gaza, which have worsened humanitarian suffering and had a devastating impact on unarmed Palestinians.
The government called on Israel to immediately halt all military operations, exercise maximum restraint, and respect international humanitarian law.
