CA directs quick steps for police welfare

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has directed authorities to take swift measures for the welfare of field-level police officers. 

He gave the instructions on Wednesday (March 19) after a discussion with the home affairs adviser and other officials.

Earlier, on March 17, Dr. Yunus met with field-level police officers, where they shared their challenges and concerns. In response, he instructed the authorities to take immediate steps to address these issues.

The directives include considering the removal of the ceiling on risk allowances, purchasing 364 new pickup trucks and 140 prisoner vans, allocating funds for police construction projects that are less than 70% complete, and approving land acquisition funds for 65 police stations currently operating in rented buildings. .

Chief Adviser also suggested providing interest-free loans for SI and ASI-ranked officers to buy motorcycles and classifying district police performance to improve efficiency where needed.

Additionally, the chief adviser instructed the police to begin preparations to ensure a peaceful election.
