The Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu has issued an urgent advisory urging all Bangladeshi nationals in Nepal to remain indoors and avoid travel due to ongoing unrest.

The embassy also recommended that inbound passengers defer their trips amid security concerns.

Emergency contact numbers have been provided for immediate assistance: Sadek (+977 9803872759) and Sarda (+977 9851128381).

The warning follows widespread “Gen Z protests” across Nepal, triggered by the government’s decision to block 26 social media platforms for failing to register under new regulations.

Tens of thousands of students and young demonstrators have taken to the streets in Kathmandu, expressing frustration over corruption, governance failures, lack of opportunities, and digital censorship.

The unrest has left at least 19 dead and hundreds injured, marking the deadliest single-day violence in Nepal in decades. Curfews have been imposed in Kathmandu and several other cities to control the situation.
