The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today (September 9).
According to a BMD bulletin, many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience such weather. A few areas in Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions may also see rain, while one or two places in Khulna and Barishal divisions could experience similar conditions. “Moderately heavy falls may occur at places across the country,” it added.
The met office said that day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged. Monsoon is currently less active over Bangladesh but moderate over the North Bay.
On Monday, the country’s highest temperature was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Feni, while the lowest was 24.2 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:08 pm today and rise at 5:43 am tomorrow.
