The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and demise anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), will be observed across the country tomorrow with due religious solemnity.
The government has declared a public holiday on September 6 to mark the occasion. Various programmes, including Qiraat, Hamd-Na’at, waz mahfil, seminars and cultural events, will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and across the country under the Islamic Foundation’s initiative.
Special programmes will also be aired on BTV, Bangladesh Betar, and published in national dailies. Improved diets will be served in hospitals, prisons, orphanages, and old-age homes.
Strict security measures have been taken nationwide to ensure peaceful observance of the day.
