Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to hold discussions with leaders of seven more political parties on Tuesday (Sept 2), as part of ongoing consultations ahead of the upcoming national election.
The Chief Adviser’s press wing confirmed on Monday afternoon that the meeting will take place at 5 p.m. at the State Guest House Jamuna.
The talks follow a series of separate meetings held on Sunday, during which Professor Yunus met with leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party (NCP).
Discussions focused on the prevailing political climate and preparations for the upcoming national polls.
During those meetings, the head of the interim government reiterated that national elections will be held within the first half of February next year, affirming the administration’s commitment to a timely and transparent electoral process.
