Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus held a meeting with leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) at the state guest house Jamuna in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

The four-member NCP delegation, led by Chief Organiser (southern region) Hasnat Abdullah, arrived at Jamuna around 5:30pm. Other members of the delegation included Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara, and Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud.

Earlier in the afternoon, the chief adviser met leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the same venue to discuss the prevailing political situation and the upcoming national elections.

According to the CA’s press wing, Yunus is also scheduled to meet a delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) later in the evening, with the meeting currently underway.

On Saturday, the chief adviser had announced separate meetings with the three parties to be held today to review the country’s overall situation.
