The Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) has called on everyone to uphold the sanctity of Ramadan.

According to a press release, the announcement was made during a rally organized on Saturday morning at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.

Led by IFB Director General A Salam Khan, the rally started from the mosque's north gate, passed through nearby streets, and concluded at the south gate.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Arabic calendar, is a sacred period for Muslims worldwide, marked by fasting (sawm), prayers (salah), recitation of the Holy Quran, and other religious practices.

The event saw the presence of IFB Director Mohammad Touhidul Anwar, Md Anisur Rahman Sarkar, Dr Mohammad Harunur Rashid, along with Islamic scholars, IFB officials, and employees.
