Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, continues to rank as the city with the most polluted air globally, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching a hazardous 304 on Saturday morning, March 1.
This alarming air quality level, classified as "disastrous," was reported by the Air Quality Index (AQI) monitoring network at 8:30 am.
On the same day, Beijing, China, recorded the second-highest pollution level with an AQI score of 222.
The AQI scale categorizes air quality as follows: a score between 0 and 50 is deemed "good," 51 to 100 is "moderate," and 101 to 150 is "unhealthy for sensitive groups."
Scores from 151 to 200 indicate "unhealthy" air, while scores from 201 to 300 are categorized as "very unhealthy." Any reading above 301 is considered "disastrous."
