The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft of the updated voter list on Sunday (August 10), allowing citizens 12 days to correct any errors in their information.
Officials from the EC’s National Identity Registration Wing confirmed on Saturday that the updated list will include around 4.4 million newly registered voters.
Their information will be posted in supplementary draft lists at designated locations by upazila officials.
Following the publication, eligible individuals will be able to submit applications for inclusion, removal of names due to death or ineligibility, transfer of voter registration, or correction of errors. Applications—using Forms 2, 12, 13, and 14—must be submitted by August 21.
Local election officers and registration officers will process the applications by August 24. After completing the necessary procedures, the final updated voter list will be released on August 31.
The country currently has 12,37,32,274 registered voters. Citizens turning 18 by October 31 will also be eligible to be added to the 13th National Parliamentary Election voter list.
