Bangladesh is likely to experience mainly dry conditions across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with only isolated showers expected in some areas, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
In its latest bulletin issued Wednesday morning, the Met Office said the weather would remain “mainly dry” with partly cloudy skies.
However, isolated rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely at one or two places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures may increase slightly.
A mild heatwave could sweep across parts of the country, the BMD warned.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded in Baghabari, Rajshahi division, at 36.5 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperature was 21.7 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, located in the northern Rangpur division.
In the capital, Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:30 pm today and rise at 5:20 am tomorrow.
