Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
This was discussed during a meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Secretary M Jasim Uddin and Pakistan High Commissioner to Dhaka Syed Ahmed Maroof at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (April 28).
According to a press release from the Foreign Ministry, both sides held a constructive discussion during the meeting. They expressed satisfaction over the successful conclusion of the sixth round of Foreign Secretary-level talks between Bangladesh and Pakistan, held in Dhaka on April 17. Both sides viewed it as a positive step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation.
They also emphasized the importance of continued follow-up and attention to the matters discussed during the recent bilateral talks.
The Pakistani High Commissioner briefed the Foreign Secretary on regional issues and informed him about the ongoing visit of a high-level business delegation from Pakistan to Bangladesh, focusing on specific products and the Bangladesh-Pakistan Business Forum held in Dhaka.
Both sides expressed hope that the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Bangladesh would be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
