Bangladeshi man killed in Saudi Arab road accident

A Bangladeshi man from Chandpur’s Faridganj upazila was killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia’s Abha city early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Md Mizan, 48, son of the late Ershad Mizi from Adsha village in Gupti Paschim Union under Faridganj. He is survived by a son and a daughter.

The incident happened in the Mahayel area of Abha around 2am Saudi time, according to Mizan’s cousin Manik Hossain, who lives nearby.

Manik said Mizan was returning home after loading goods, as part of his daily work routine, when his vehicle collided head-on with a speeding car. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Family members in Saudi Arabia confirmed the news after visiting the hospital at dawn. Preparations are underway to send Mizan’s body back to Bangladesh.
