Dry weather likely over country: Met office

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours, starting from this morning. 

According to the latest forecast, the sky may be temporarily partly cloudy, but overall, the weather will remain dry.

A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and the surrounding area, while a seasonal low persists over the South Bay. 

The BMD also predicts a slight rise in both day and night temperatures throughout the country.

In the past 24 hours, up until 6 am today, the country recorded a total of 4 millimeters of rainfall, with the highest amount falling in Dimla Upazila of Nilphamari district.

Sunday's maximum temperature reached 34.5°C in Sitakunda Upazila, Chattogram, while the minimum temperature recorded today was 15.0°C, observed jointly in Rajarhat Upazila of Kurigram and Dimla Upazila.

In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:11 pm today, with tomorrow’s sunrise scheduled for 5:58 am.
