Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman today (March 23) said his force will always stand by those injured in the July uprising.
He made the remark at an Iftar event organized at Senamalanch in the capital.
The army chief also advised them to stay strong and not lose morale.
General Waker said that the army so-far has provided medical aid to 4,200 injured individuals from the July Movement and the support initiative is still ongoing.
He also said that the army is also working to provide financial assistance to the victims, with support from businesses and various organizations.
Addressing the injured, the army chief said they are the nation’s pride and assured them that the army will continue to support their rehabilitation efforts.
