Election Commission (EC) will submit its opinion on the government's requested proposals from the Reform Commission as soon as possible.

EC Secretary Akhter Ahmed made the remarks while responding to reporters' questions at the Election Commission office on Tuesday (March 25).

He said, "We will submit our opinion as soon as possible. However, at this moment, I cannot specify which recommendations will be made. The commission will decide on this.”

When asked whether implementing these recommendations would affect the election, the EC secretary said it depends on various proposals. 

"From our side, the priority is to resolve any issue quickly so that preparations for the December election can proceed smoothly," he said.

He said that all necessary work would be completed ahead of the December elections. 

"Reforms are ongoing, and they will continue. That is why the proposals have been made within a short time frame. We will work within that time to find a proper solution," he said.
