A man has brought Tk 730 crore remittances through legal channel to get 2.5 percent incentives benefit announced by the government, said National Board of Revenue (NBR) chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan.
NBR chief however refrained from disclosing the identity of the person who brought that vast sum of money.
Abdur Rahman Khan said these in a view exchange meeting with Economic Reporters Forum and BCS Tax Cadres at revenue building in the capital’s Agargaon.
He said it’s better not to disclose the name of the person brought that money. Steps in this regard will be taken, after that everyone will come to know the details of the person.
In the future, tax information will automatically be collected through API (Application Programming Interface) with banks, he added.
