A man was hacked to death in Mirpur’s Pallabi area on Friday (March 21) evening. 

The incident happened near the WAPDA Building field after Iftar.

According to family members, the deceased Selim, 35, were killed by the local drug dealers due to a previous enmity.

Relatives Ashiqur Rahman and Yasmin alleged that local drug dealers, including Parvin, Rony, Johnny, Sima, and Rani, were involved in the murder.

Inspector Md. Faruk of the Dhaka Medical Police Camp confirmed the matter.

He said that the body has been sent for autopsy.

Selim was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 7:30 pm in a critically injured state, where doctors declared him dead. 

He lived with his wife and child in the WAPDA Colony Building at the Bihari Camp in Mirpur-11.
