The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds at many places across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to a BMD bulletin issued Monday morning, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions may also experience similar weather, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected at some locations.
The met office predicted a slight rise in day and night temperatures across the country.
Monsoon conditions remain fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over the North Bay. BMD also warned that another low-pressure area may form over the east-central Bay and adjoining North Bay within the next 48 hours.
On Monday, the highest temperature recorded was 36.0°C in Sayedpur and Tetulia, while the lowest was 24.1°C in Narayanganj. In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:54 pm today and rise at 5:48 am tomorrow.
