The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in many parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today (Aug 29).
According to the BMD bulletin, rain or thundershowers may occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, and at a few places over Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy falls are also likely at some places across the country.
The met office said that both day and night temperatures may fall slightly.
On Thursday, the country’s highest temperature was recorded in Rajshahi at 35.3 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was in Sylhet at 23.8 degrees Celsius.
In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:20 pm today and rise at 5:40 am tomorrow.
