The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across large parts of the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9 am today (Aug 24).

In its morning weather bulletin, the Met Office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in many areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in places within Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

According to the forecast, day and night temperatures will likely remain nearly unchanged across the country.

The Met office recorded the highest temperature on Saturday at 34.6°C in Srimangal under Sylhet division, while the lowest was 23.7°C in Bandarban earlier today.

In Dhaka, the sun is set to rise at 5:38 am tomorrow after setting at 6:24 pm today.
