The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across much of the country in the next 24 hours starting from 9:00am Friday.
According to a bulletin issued by the Met office, most places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience rain or thundershowers. Many areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions may also receive rainfall, with moderately heavy to heavy falls expected at isolated spots nationwide.
The bulletin also noted that both day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
On Thursday, the highest temperature was recorded at 34°C in Tetulia under Rangpur Division, while the minimum temperature on Friday morning was 23°C in Tangail.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:42pm on Friday and rise at 5:28am on Saturday.
