This year, Bangladesh celebrated a peaceful Eid holiday, with no major crimes reported across the country, thanks to the timely and effective measures taken by law enforcement agencies.
Assistant Inspector General (media) at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) Enamul Haque Sagor told the media that nine-day Eid holiday, which ended today, saw no major incidents due to the extensive efforts of the police and other law enforcement agencies.
He said that proper coordination, heightened patrols, and increased security checkpoints were key to maintaining law and order.
In addition to ensuring safety, the police issued guidelines for homebound travelers and transport owners, which helped reduce road accidents during the holidays.
However, there were a few motorcycle accidents resulting in casualties, and officials stressed the need for greater awareness to prevent such incidents in the future.
Several security measures, including army personnel checking buses and advising drivers to follow safety protocols, further ensured a smooth and safe holiday experience for the public.
Local residents expressed their satisfaction with the security arrangements, which contributed to a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration.
