Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a telephone conversation with Bangladesh's Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus on Monday (March 31), exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and discussed bilateral relations.
During the call, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shehbaz Sharif expressed anticipation for the upcoming visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Dhaka on April 22, who will be accompanied by a trade delegation.
The Pakistani premier also extended a cordial invitation to Chief Adviser Dr Yunus to visit Pakistan at his convenience. Additionally, he invited a Bangladeshi cultural troupe, including legendary singer Runa Laila, to visit Pakistan.
Expressing optimism about the future of Bangladesh-Pakistan relations, Shehbaz said the ties between the two countries looked bright.
