Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (March 31) said that a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over different parts of the country and may abate some places.

A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, and parts of Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Barishal, and Patuakhali, with chances of abatement in some areas, BMD reported this morning.

The highest temperature was recorded at 39.4°C in Jashore on Saturday, while Rajshahi experienced the lowest at 16.8°C. The weather is expected to remain dry with a partly cloudy sky.

The sun will set at 6:14 PM today and rise at 5:52 AM tomorrow in Dhaka.
