Bangladesh sends second relief mission to Myanmar

Bangladesh has dispatched a second consignment of emergency aid, including medical supplies, to Myanmar following the devastating earthquake that struck the country.

On Tuesday morning (April 1), relief materials and medicine were sent under the directive of Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Three transport aircraft from the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force were deployed for the mission.

According to the Deputy Press Wing of the Chief Advisor, the mission comprises a 55-member rescue and medical team, including experts and doctors from the armed forces.

Additionally, 37 crew members were on board the three aircraft.

The aid package includes eight tons of dry food, two and a half tons of drinking water, four tons of medicine, one ton of hygiene products, and one and a half tons of relief tents.

This follows an initial relief mission dispatched on Sunday, which delivered emergency supplies such as medicine, tents, dry food, and a medical team, facilitated by the armed forces under the leadership of the Bangladesh Army.
