Bangladesh has swiftly responded to the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake in northern Myanmar, which claimed at least 1,644 lives and injured over 3,400 people.
Under the Chief Adviser’s directive, Bangladesh dispatched emergency relief and prepared rescue and medical teams through the Armed Forces.
Two military aircraft carrying 16.5 metric tonnes of relief, including food, medicine, and tents, landed in Yangon today, the ISPR said.
More aid, along with search and medical teams, will be sent pending Myanmar’s approval. The Bangladesh Armed Forces remain committed to global humanitarian efforts.
