A mild heat wave is affecting several districts, including Faridpur, Rajshahi, Ishwardi, Khulna, Jashore, and Chuadanga, and is expected to persist, according to the latest bulletin from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The BMD also forecasts rain or thundershowers with gusty winds in isolated areas of Sylhet division, while other parts of the country will experience dry weather with a partly cloudy sky.
The temperature in Jashore and Chuadanga reached a high of 37°C on Thursday, while the lowest temperature of 17°C was recorded in Dimla, Nilphamari.
Day and night temperatures are likely to remain stable across the country, with the sun setting at 6:07 pm today and rising at 6:08 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
