A fire that broke out at the Mohakhali Sattola Slum in Dhaka early today (March 12) has been brought under control, officials said.

Eight firefighting units were dispatched to the scene after receiving an alert at 3:40 am while the blaze was contained by 5:20 am, according to Fire Service Duty Officer Rakibul Hasan. 

However, he also said the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be determined immediately. 

No casualties have been reported, Rakibul confirmed.
