A total of 65,573 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims have returned home after performing the holy Hajj this year, according to the Hajj Office under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Of them, 5,070 pilgrims traveled under government management, while 60,503 pilgrims returned under private arrangements, the office said in a bulletin issued on Saturday (July 5).
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that 42 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died during the pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia so far. Among the deceased, 31 were men and 11 women.
The Hajj Office attributed the deaths primarily to old age and pre-existing health complications.
The 2025 Hajj programme began on April 29, with the last outbound flight to Saudi Arabia departing on May 31.
The holy Hajj was performed on June 5, and return flights are scheduled to continue until July 10.
