The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned that providing false information during visa applications and interviews could result in sanctions, including lifelong entry bans.
In a Facebook post on Sunday (March 30), the embassy said: "Criminal convictions can permanently bar you from entering the United States. Even minor offenses can trigger visa denials. Consular officers have access to your criminal background and will discover past violations or arrests. Tell the truth on your application and in your interview – lying can get you banned."
