Two motorcycle riders were killed in a road accident in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Monday morning (March 10).

The crash took place around 6:30 am in the Kamakshamore area along the Dhaka-Tangail-Jamuna Bridge highway when an unidentified vehicle struck the motorcycle.

The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed.

Sub-Inspector Atiqur Rahman of Jamuna Bridge East Police Station said law enforcement recovered the bodies and the motorcycle from the scene. 

Efforts are underway to identify the deceased, he also said.

“It remains unclear which vehicle was involved in the accident. The bodies will be handed over to the families once legal procedures are completed,” the SI added.
