The Election Commission (EC) has invited applications from political parties seeking registration to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections with their own symbols. 

The deadline for submission is April 20.

EC Secretary Akhter Ahmed issued a notification in this regard on Monday (March 10).

According to the notification, interested political parties must submit their applications on official letterheads along with necessary documents. These include the party’s constitution, election manifesto (if any), rules and regulations (if any), logo and flag images, a list of all central executive committee members with their designations, details of the party’s bank account and latest balance, sources of party funds, a power of attorney authorizing the applicant, and a non-refundable registration fee of Tk 5,000 deposited via treasury challan to the Secretary, Election Commission Secretariat.
