5% quota announced for July Uprising victims

The government has announced 5% quota benefits in admissions to government secondary schools for the family members of those injured or martyred in the July 2024 Uprising.

The Ministry of Education in this regard issued a new office order directing school and college principals to implement the decision.

According to the order, 5% of seats will be reserved for children of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters and family members of those injured or martyred in the July 2024 Uprising.

Applicants must submit attested copies of relevant documents or gazettes as proof, along with their admission applications, and present the original copies during admission.

The admission process must be completed after verifying the certificates issued by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs for freedom fighters and the official gazettes for those martyred in the July 2024 Uprising.

If there are no eligible applicants under this quota, the seats will be filled from the merit list, and no seat will be left vacant.
