The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced that the final results of the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examination 2022 will be published on December 10, in line with its previously declared roadmap.
PSC spokesperson SM Matiur Rahman confirmed the date, saying, “We are progressing as planned, and the results will be released on schedule.”
The written examination results were announced on June 18, with 6,558 candidates qualifying for the viva voce.
The written tests were held from January 23 to 31 last year across eight divisional cities, followed by oral examinations for the successful candidates.
Earlier, on June 6, the PSC published the preliminary test results, in which 12,789 candidates passed. The preliminary test had been held simultaneously on May 19 at centres in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh.
A total of 346,000 candidates applied for the 45th BCS. The recruitment will include 2,309 cadre posts and 1,022 non-cadre posts. The largest number of appointments will be made in the health cadre, with 539 assistant and dental surgeons to be recruited.
This will be followed by 437 posts in the education cadre, 274 in administration, 80 in the police, and 54 in customs, according to the PSC.
