The T20 Asia Cup is set to begin on 9 September, but all eyes are already fixed on the high-voltage India-Pakistan encounter scheduled for 14 September.

It will be the first meeting between the arch-rivals since the Pahalgam incident, heightening anticipation around the clash.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has opened ticket sales, offering fans three separate packages. Prices, however, have sparked astonishment.

Tickets for group-stage matches start at 475 dirhams (around Tk 15,700), while entry to Super Four fixtures and the final is priced from 525 dirhams (roughly Tk 17,400).

In addition to online booking through the ACC’s portal, tickets will soon be available at the box offices of Dubai International Stadium and Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Despite the steep costs, demand is expected to remain high. Given the historic rivalry and the significance of the fixture, fans appear eager to pay a premium to witness the contest live from the stands.
