The Bangladesh ‘A’ team kicks off their Top End T20 campaign in Darwin, Australia, today, taking on Pakistan Shaheens (Pakistan ‘A’) in the tournament opener at TIO Stadium. 

The match is scheduled to start at 3:30pm Bangladesh Standard Time, and T Sports will broadcast it live.

This marks the second time a Bangladeshi side is participating in the tournament, following Bangladesh HP’s runner-up finish in 2024. Bangladesh has sent an experienced squad led by captain Nurul Hasan, who expressed hopes of clinching the title this year, saying the team “needs some trophies.”

The competition features 11 teams, including sides from Nepal and the USA, alongside Bangladesh and Pakistan. Bangladesh’s second match will be against Nepal ‘A’ on August 16, followed by a clash with Perth Scorchers on August 17. The team will then face NT Strike, Melbourne Stars Academy, and Adelaide Strikers on August 19, 21, and 23, respectively.

The semifinals and final are scheduled for August 24, giving Bangladesh several opportunities to make a strong impression in the tournament.
