Dubai Capitals have signed Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, marking his debut in the International League T20 (ILT20).
Mustafizur was recruited as a replacement for English pacer Luke Wood, with the team confirming his inclusion via their official social media channels.
“Bringing in the best in the Fiz-ness,” Dubai Capitals posted on their verified Facebook page, adding, “Mustafizur Rahman has joined us, replacing Luke Wood for ILT20 season 3.”
Owned by the same group as IPL’s Delhi Capitals, Dubai Capitals had previously roped in Mustafizur during last IPL season when Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc was unavailable.
Unlike other teams waiting for the ILT20 auction on September 30, Dubai Capitals secured Mustafizur’s services through a direct signing.
The third season of ILT20 is set to begin on December 2, with the final scheduled for January 4, 2026.
This signing will make it Mustafizur’s sixth franchise T20 league worldwide, having already played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lankan Premier League (LPL), and England’s Vitality Blast.
Mustafizur Rahman’s inclusion is expected to strengthen Dubai Capitals’ bowling attack as they prepare for the upcoming tournament.
