Barcelona and Inter Milan played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal, leaving everything to play for in next week's return leg in Milan.
The visitors struck early at the Olympic Stadium, with Marcus Thuram netting a record-breaking goal just 30 seconds in — the fastest ever in a Champions League semifinal — courtesy of a slick back-heel finish following a defensive mishap.
Denzel Dumfries doubled Inter’s advantage with an acrobatic volley after Francesco Acerbi flicked on a corner, punishing a Barcelona side that looked rattled in the opening phase.
But 16-year-old Lamine Yamal sparked a comeback with a sensational solo goal, weaving inside before curling a shot in off the post — becoming the youngest player to score in a Champions League semifinal. He continued to torment Inter, narrowly missing a second and later hitting the crossbar.
Ferran Torres equalised from close range after fine link-up play from Raphinha, only for Inter to edge ahead again when Dumfries’s header deflected in off Dani Olmo.
Barcelona levelled within minutes, with Raphinha’s thunderous strike ricocheting off the crossbar and goalkeeper Yann Sommer’s back to find the net.
The second leg is set for next Tuesday in Milan, with PSG or Arsenal awaiting the winner in the final on May 31 in Munich.
