Nahid leaves for Pakistan Super League

Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana left the country today to join Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), marking his first franchise tournament outside Bangladesh.

Despite Bangladesh's ongoing Test series against Zimbabwe, the team management granted him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) after the first Test, allowing him to join the PSL.

Rana, who was placed in the gold category during the PSL draft, was quickly picked by Peshawar Zalmi, who are currently fourth in the points table.

Although they have two wins from five matches, their hopes of making the playoffs remain uncertain.

Rana expressed confidence ahead of his first stint with a foreign franchise, saying, "I have confidence in myself. I want to give my best for Peshawar and hopefully thrive here."

Rana follows Liton Das, who was initially signed by Karachi Kings but returned early due to injury, and Rishad Hossain, who continues to impress with Lahore Qalanders.

Peshawar Zalmi will play their sixth match tomorrow in Lahore.
