Bangladesh has made history by securing a place in the final round of the ITF World Junior Tennis Championship (U-14) for the first time.
Competing in the Asia regional qualifiers in Bahrain, Bangladesh earned their spot in the finals with a dominant 2-0 victory over Hong Kong in Thursday's quarterfinals.
This win propelled them into the semifinals of the 21-team tournament and confirmed their qualification as one of the top four teams for the final round, set to take place in the Czech Republic from August 4 to 9.
Bangladesh also achieved their best-ever group stage performance, finishing in the top eight after defeating Saudi Arabia 2-0 and securing a commanding 3-0 win against Nepal.
