Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed at Mohakhali rail gate in the capital to maintain law and order as students of Government Titumir College staged a demonstration, blocking the road to press home several demands.

BGB Public Relations Officer (PRO) Md. Shariful Islam confirmed the deployment on Monday (February 3) afternoon.

He said students blocked the Mohakhali rail gate area, prompting the deployment of BGB to bring the situation under control.

Earlier, at around 3:30 p.m., students of Government Titumir College brought out a procession and blocked the rail gate area, demanding authorities address their grievances.
