Lauren Dreyer, Vice President for Global Engagement at SpaceX, held talks with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on the sidelines of the Earthna Summit in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday (April23).

The meeting focused on finalising preparations to roll out Starlink satellite internet services in Bangladesh.

Dreyer, a long-time collaborator of Elon Musk, expressed confidence in the project’s timeline. "We’re nearing the finish line. I’ve instructed my team to be fully prepared for a technical launch by May," she stated.

Professor Yunus shared the growing anticipation in Bangladesh, saying, "This is major news for the country—people are eagerly counting the days. When it happens, it must be a celebration."
