Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus held a meeting with leaders of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the state guest house Jamuna on Sunday afternoon to discuss the prevailing political situation and the upcoming national elections.
Led by Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, the Jamaat delegation entered the state guest house around 4:15pm. The delegation also included Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar and assistant secretaries general Rafiqul Islam Khan and Hamidur Rahman Azad.
On Saturday, the chief adviser had called separate meetings with the BNP, Jamaat, and NCP to discuss the overall situation of the country.
According to the CA press wing, the meeting with the BNP has been rescheduled to 7:30pm instead of 3pm, while the meeting with the NCP is currently underway.
