Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),  is set to hold a protest march in Dhaka on Monday afternoon, protesting what it calls the worsening law and order situation, efforts to destabilize public sentiment, and the erosion of a conducive learning environment in educational institutions.

The march is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm from in front of BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan and proceed towards Shahbagh. 

BNP leaders and activists are expected to join the demonstration, according to a press release signed by Chhatra Dal office secretary Md Jahangir Alam on Sunday.

The release also stated that similar protest marches will be held in all districts and major cities across the country.

In a separate programme, BNP’s volunteer wing, Swechchhasebak Dal, is set to organize nationwide protests on Tuesday and Thursday, raising the same demands.

Additionally, Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP units will organize protest marches at 3:00 pm on Monday in front of the Nayapaltan office. 

These demonstrations aim to protest what the party alleges are falsehoods against BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and members of the BNP National Standing Committee are expected to attend the event.
