BNP National Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan has said the Awami League (AL) has become a “deviated political party” due to its prolonged misdeeds.

Speaking while distributing BNP’s membership renewal forms at Bhuban Mohan Park today, Moyeen Khan said the AL’s long-term wrongdoing has led to its rejection by the people.

He called on the interim government to restore democracy by holding a fair and neutral election, stressing that reform and justice are ongoing processes but not the same thing.

Reminding BNP leaders and activists that a party’s image and dignity are its greatest assets, he urged them not to repeat the AL’s mistakes and to work to regain people’s trust.

The event was chaired by City BNP Convener Advocate Ershad Ali Isha and addressed by Divisional Organizing Secretary Syed Shaheen Shawkat, Senior Joint Convener Nazrul Huda, and Member-Secretary Mamun-Or-Rashid.
